Alameda Supper Club - DTLA

This wonderful new upscale dining room is a lovely addition to the Tartine Manufactory and a truly delicious one it is! A fine collaboration between Chris Bianco (Phoenix Pizza fame) and the Tartine’s Chad Robertson and Elisabeth Prueitt (Tartine Bakery SFO), we dined here last evening and in true Rita style, we ordered just about everything on the menu!

Highly recommended – we started with the Montequilla olives marinated in lemon oil, the charcuterie plate and the heavenly grilled garlic bread. In fitting Italian fashion, we enjoyed our first course with a delightfully crisp and refreshing glass of the house Prosecco. Moving on with conversation and hunger, we turned to the pastas, where we found mouthwatering delicious – especially my two favorite the Strozzapreti made with fresh lemon and pepper (always a great combination of flavors) and the Ravioli is 100% decadent with fresh peas in a ricotta cream-style sauce. Not to be outshined by the pasta – the vegetable offerings, we ordered them all, were also straight out of Italy with broccoli cooked to perfection (al dente-style) with a flavorful anchovy saba sauce – yummy! Thanks to Bill we washed it all down with a Brunello di Montalcino, my favorite! SALUTE!
